Someone just told me this and I wondered

Although, I haven't had one since I was a child, my ex had good few animals but now that I am out of that relationship, I had to leave the fur children behind too.

I am thinking of getting a few puddy cats and probably a puppy of my own to cuddle and squeeze at night..

I really do not want to go back to a life on medication,
Trying to avoid it at all costs.

Do you have any animals?

I only have one, a real live cat. Yes he slows my heartbeat.

I don’t know how to post pictures on the iPad. Used to be able to when I had a computer. He’s an old (19 yrs) mixed breed mostly American short haired blue cat with brilliant green eyes. He loves sitting or laying on my lap but doesn’t as a rule like hugs, but tolerates affection and pets.

I have a dog! He definitely lowers my heart rate and helps my motivation to get up/dressed/go out/meet people when I’m not well.

He’s in my avatar

I have one cat and a dog . To answer your question , when you are cuddling a pet your body produces chemicals that will calm you and also slow down your heart rate . Along with that our affection does the same for the animal .
