We have been waiting for two weeks to hear the news that my Aunt Shirley has passed on. She experienced a year of constant chemo, pain, and suffering. She finally is at rest as of 10:10 am yesterday. We all have sent love, hugs, and support to family and will remember her for her final moments when, while in pain, she still had humour and a smile. I love you, Aunt Shirley. Your love will be felt forever after.
Thanks for this!

Thank you, Bebop. The biggest hurt now is with the loving family who has lost her. My Uncle and cousins are preparing now for the funeral services.

Thank you RozG

My Dad had his private time with her and he tapped her gently and told her "You rest, I will be quiet."

She faintly smiled back at him and said "That will be a first."

Dad smiled back at her and warned her "You realize that I will have to keep talking now so that I can defend my honour."

She smiled from ear to ear, closed her eyes and fell asleep. That is how we will remember her.
