There is nothing I can do to take the pain away, but I will say a prayer for both you and your Aunty.

ginniesky,

I'm sorry to hear of your aunt's passing. It's always tough to lose a loved one especially when we have fond memories of days gone by. But like you said, thank goodness she is no longer in pain. From that she has been released. And since her daughter died first, maybe there's a joyful reunion taking place! All of these are things you can be grateful for.

I think you do know how to feel if you but take time to feel it. It is absolutely okay to feel sad! that is what those remaining do, allow yourself the opportunity to feel the feelings. This is part of how we honor our loved ones. This is some of how we show respect for those who have left existence as we know it.

All is so important, our brains slows everything down to the point that it seems to replay in super slow motion. Slowly to replay over and over and over again. Imo, that's why it's often described as being like a bad dream.

You have choices in how you remember this time. Make your choices positive rather than depressive. Your aunt is free of pain and reunited with her precious daughter, what could be more beautiful than that?!

I know you will miss her.
