I'm thinking if it hurts and has been bleeding for awhile it may have been fractured. I remember after a very, very long plane ride my nose bled on and off for the rest of the next day, but it went away after that...so I don't know how long they are supposed to last. I'm not really sure how much can be done about it either except for waiting.

An occaisional nosebleed should be brief and are not usually painful.
It would be a good idea to have your doctor take a look to find out what is going on.

This isn't just a random nosebleed, right? This is from the jerk the other day? I know a way to get it to stop but you aren't going to want to hear it... your doctor, my dear friend, needs to take a look at it.
