Anyone know why my upper eyelid is twitching like mad all of a sudden?

The past few days it's been going off like mad.
For no reason that I can tell.

Is there some deficiency that anyone knows of?

Thanks for any knowledge you can share.

Peace!

That happens to me quite often. When I am tired or uner stress.
I think it's just like having chest pains or back aches but on the eyelids
I think I am going to ask my doctor next time.
Thanks for this!

This happened to me for over a week! Fortunately at the time I worked for an ophthalmologist (eye MD). He said stress, lack of sleep, poor sleep are usually the causes. Very gently massaging the eye lid and sleeping may help. If that doesn't, sometimes a "shock" to the eye (his words). In my case the "shock" was needed. He put an eye drop in my eye that was one known to sting a bit...it stopped twitching instantly!
