This has been going on for a week now.... My legs & feet are so swollen they hurt, it's like one big bruise all over the place under the skin.... I have some cuts on my legs that blistered up, I broke them and what looks like water came out.... they keep leaking this water stuff.... I don't see a doctor till next week so I was wondering if anyone knew what this is?

Have you started any new medications laterly? I'd call your doctor's office and tell them what is going on, see if they think you need to come in sooner.

Please go ahead and call your Dr. They may want to bring you in sooner than your scheduled appt or they may want you to go to Urgent Care.

Try to think if you've changed anything at all, like soap, detergent, vitamins, etc.

Please try not to burst the blisters to keep them from becoming infected.

Ive heard of this happening when people have diabetes and their sugar is too high and out of control.

Jay, do you by chance take lamictal? If you do, will you please send a pm to me? I was one of the very rare individuals who had the allergic reaction to it and it sounds similar to your experience.

You read my mind, Rmdctc!

Diabetes often causes these symptoms when person hasn't been diagnosed yet and/or doesn't follow recommended sodium and sugar intake. Does diabetes run in your family, Jay? I hope that you've called your doctor and have begun to get answers and symptom relief.

Swelling in the legs can also be due to kidney problems. You do need to have it checked out Jays.

there are multi resons ppl retain water or fluid in thier legs. My Dad did that.
Have it checked ...

Thanks for the replies everyone.... I have been to see the doctor, he doesn't know what it's from yet but He took blood test so I have to wait.

This sounds serous. You need to see a physician ASAP. This is not the time to wait.

Are you having any difficulty breathing or do your lungs feel tight?

Do your legs and feet often feel numb or have decreased sensation? Do you find injuries that you don't remember causing?

Have you ever been diagnosed with peripheral artery disease or congestive heart failure or any problem with circulation?

It might help in the short term to elevate your legs on a pillow while you lie in bed but don't use ice or heat when you do.

And get yourself to the doctor pronto!
