I had blood work done last week and they came back negative. Now I have to have an MRI done, since the mass is not what they thought it was.

Hopefully, they'll get me an appointment soon, so they can figure out what the mass is.

*mass on artery that goes into right kidney....

How soon can they do the MRI? Did the doctor speculate what it is? I wonder if someone gets a kidney infection - could it leave a mass looking object on the kidney? I hope the MRI shows concusively what it is and how to fix it safely. I'm still praying (((Queen Accountant)))

That's good news that the blood work came back negative. Will continue to think of you and positive things while waiting for the MRI and the results.

Wonderful for your good blood tests AQ. Keep us posted. It's sometimes hard to have to wait. I was Dx'ed with chronic kidney failure, stage 3 one year ago this month. It is stable now, and I just need to keep my blood pressure in check, and I've lost 15 pounds so my weight is on the high end of normal, (within the BMI I'm supposed to be in for normal...). So I'm doing what I can....but the entire process of waiting was hard.

Keep up good thoughts and I'm pulling for you and your mass.

I got my MRI results back today, and basically the Urologist still didn't quite know what the mass was, but he was pretty sure that it wasn't lymphoma, and he thought it would be best just to 'wait and see' what happens, and get it rechecked in 3 months.

So, I'm supposed to stay out of work for that 3 months, while we wait to see what happens??? I told my mom this (I don't know why...) and she said, "well maybe you should go back to work then." yeah, that would work out beautifully.

Anyways, I'm going to a real doctor down at Duke next week. I hope he will know what my problem is.

I go see a real doctor this Friday. Until then, I'm trying not to think about it too hard. I have been in a lot of pain though lately, which is kinda weird. Usually, I can't differentiate between what hurts and what doesn't hurt, but since I've been taking Neurontin, a lot of my other pain has subsided a bit.
