I think that was the first time I written or spoke the C word. I was dx'd last month, and I am scared to death. I don't know what to expect, what comes next. What is the process? I need to know everything, and the breast cancer sites aren't helping much. To top it off I had to stop T because this is a financial toll, and it is swallowing up any freetime I have. Anyone know the order in which things go? I meet the surgeon next week.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dx.
That must be so scary.

I have heard a lot of good things about the Cancer Treatment Centers of America... would it be an option for you to look into that?

treatments vary case by case. it is best to talk to your surgeon about this. also depends on the size of the tumor I would think but I am not a dr. I wish you all the best with your treatment.

You'll have to talk to your surgeon and oncologist about these things for the most part. Every case is different depending on what stage you are in, how many lymph nodes are involved, etc. Both of my sisters had breast cancer at the same time. One only needed a lumpectomy and radiation. The other needed a full mastectomy, radiation, chemotherapy, and eventually a bone marrow transplant. I know many survivors though. Most needed both chemo and radiation after their surgeries.
Thanks for this!

Thanks Chris...I really appreciate your reply. I know the surgeon will give me more answers. I just really wanted to hear it people who have gone thru it, like you with your sisters. I hope that they are both doing well now.
