I am on day 3 of a migraine attack.

Although I have been having migraines since age 3, they used to be shorter. 12-36 hours.

Is it something that gets worse with age?

Mine got better. I still have the lights and blind spots but rarely get the headache now.
Hope you feel better soon.

Also, when I was a child, eventually I would vomit and instatly feel relief, and then feel euphoric.

None of that anymore.

I did not get any relief from vomiting (in fact, I got prescribed Zofran this morning to be able to eat and drink, and it helped).

And the pain gradually lessens until it is, eventually, gone. And then I am tired.

No euphoria. Just tired.

I get migraines too but am finding that they don't last as long now. They used to last 3 or 4 days at a time. I tried over the counter Excedrin Migraine medicine and it seems to help me more than prescribed Imitrex! The Imitrex just seemed to make it worse. So yes in my case the older I get the better my migraines get.

I've also heard I've heard they usually get better with age. I've had them since puberty my mom had severe migraines while going through menopause and now that that is past she never gets them. Sometimes I throw up and my migraines go away too. It's strange

Cayenne and feverfew are herbs for reducing the severity and frequency of migraines. Topamax and propranolol are often prescribed for the same thing. Then there's Botox injections which work for the same purpose. The problem is that all of this is for before the migraine actually hits.

Oxygen helps at the onset of some types of migraines.

The weather has been doing strange things for the last couple years. Weather, especially weather in transition, has an impact on migraines. Large swings in temperature, humidity, and barometer can trigger migraines or make them worse.

If you have been experiencing more stress in general recently that will also make things worse for your health.
