|
I have a mole that I don't know if it was there before. However, if it was there before, it definitely didn't stick up like it does now. I'm worried about it. I called to make a doctors appointment, but there wasn't an available one that I can make until next Friday. Ugh.

I have a ton of moles on my body. More appear the more I am out in the sun and I have a lot of raised ones too. Many times they end up being nothing, but it is always good to get them checked out. Waiting until next friday shouldn't be an issue. I doubt it is going to grow much within that time frame.

You are going to go to the doc to have it checked out. That is the best thing you can do. Try not to worry. I know I have been there before with something like this. I had a mole that had changed a lot and seemed to not heal. No one could see me for a month. But I was convinced I had skin cancer for the whole month. It turned out to be nothing.

Some ABC'S of moles, which is what the doc is looking for and is a concern is when there is the following: "A"- Whether it is asymetrical in its shape; "B"- Whether its borders are jagged or ragged-edged, not smooth; and "C" - Whether its coloration varies across it, redness, or it has mottled color in appearance. It's always better to get them checked to be safe. Good luck at the doc's!

I've been so aware of the rabbit nest in my backyard that when I saw the title of this thread I immediately imagined you were worried about one of those other creatures who dig tunnels...
 Dear Googley, though I'm sorry you have something more to trouble you on top of everything else, I'm glad you're soon seeing a doctor. May the report be good!

Thanks Rohag.
I asked a friend what she knew about moles and I felt the need to say the ones on your skin not the ones that dig holes in the yard. LOL. I'll let you know how it goes when I get the results back. |

I went to the doctor yesterday. She said that she doesn't think it is anything to worry about. She will look at it again in 6 weeks to make sure nothing has changed. Phew.
