I have had loads of times where I experience sleep paralysis. It must have happened about 30 times? I don't find it scary as I am used to it but it does get annoying. Sometimes it mostly happens when I sleep in the dark. I heard sleep paralysis could be a sign of epilepsy.... Something lobe epilepsy? It does gets on my nerves and I would prefer a much quiet rested sleep Any advice?

Hi happycheeks,

I have had this a few times in my life over the past couple of years. It was scary for me when it happened because I didn't know when I'd be able to move. Very frustrating! I am diagnosed with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy, but I have no idea whether or not the two are connected.

Oh yeah! Temporal lobe epilepsy, that was the name. I think the two can be connected. I saw sleep paralysis is a sign.

Well, remember that seizures are probably the #1 sign. If you haven't had any before, I wouldn't be too concerned.

I haven't had a seizure so I don't have it.
