Didnt know really where to post this but thought this forum was best suited for it.

First of all I will start by saying that my mother is extremely over weight and for as long as I can remember I have tried to support in any way I can to help her diet, excersize and even speak with her DR about the possibility of Gastric Bypass Surgery. That scares her and that is not the route she wants to take. However, her DR mentioned it to her again and they will re-visit the decision again in June and see what happens. I have also mentioned Gastric Banding which is reversable, unlike the other surgery.

Anyway, I have put on a few over the past several months while being out of work and it has really bugged me to the point that I know I need HELP in a big way. I have hired a personal trainer 3 times per week and he will help with my eating and excersize and keep on me. I am excited about this and aprehensive at the same time. I am eager to lose this weight but not eager to give up my snacks. I just know that I dont want to struggle the way my mother does. I am no where near the weight of my mother, some might say that I dont have a weight problem at all but for me, this is something I need to do.

Thanks for listening.

That sounds fantastic! I think it's great that you are hiring a personal trainer, even if you are not overweight you will be getting many great health benefits! I don't think you'll have to give up your snacks, just eat them moderately and if you are exercising you'll be burning off calories anyway! So happy to hear that you are excited about this!

Love,
Sujin

Wonderful that you could do this. Both for you and for your Mom.

Envy is useless, - but I really envy you right now!!

Besides that - good luck!! I look forward to hearing how it is going!
