I just got finished with my ultrasound. They did a regular ultrasound they do on your belly. Then they did an internal ultrasound. I wasn't exspecting this. Needless to say I had to really get my mind off what was going on. I asked the tech about my test and she said she wasn't alloud to say anything until the doctor had a chance to read it. So now I'm just waiting yet again.

Thanks EJ, I really hope I hear something tomorrow and not when I go back to the doctor on friday. I don't think I can wait that long. That and the fact that I will be out of pain meds by then.
Good luck tomorrow and don't stress to much. LOL

That's what I keep trying to remember is that if the tumor was really really bad that they wouldn't of let me leave after the CT scan and they would of had me in the hospital already. So I keep telling myself that. Maybe I can remember that until this thing is out.

Ooo sorry to hear you didn't realize that would happen.
I thought I had read where the inter-vaginal ultrasound was what was scheduled. (I'm sure I have that test name messed up somewhere.) I was to have one of those a year or 2 ago...but haven't bothered. They say most tumors are just fibroids and they shrink with menopause anyway. But I'm glad you have had it all done with now. Hope it all looks ok, after all! TC

I'm glad it's done as well. I hope I don't have to have any more test done. Getting tired of all of it.
Menopause is still along way off for me. Just turned 33 in Oct. I'm still waiting for my mother to hit menopause, she's 56 right now. And I know my grandmother was in her 60's before she went through the change. They keep asking me if I have heavy bleeding. But I haven't had a period in months, so I don't know what they will do. They are sending me back to the urologist on friday. I'm hoping to get this all taken care of soon. Fingers crossed.

Yeah, I hear ya! The good news is they can go after these things and take them out without it being "major" surgery, so to speak. Sounds like it is blocking your normal system pretty much. I'm sure you will keep us all updated as to how you're doing? TC

I don't know all your story, so forgive me for any ignorance. I just wanted to tell you that I'm having hysteroscopic surgery in March, after an ultrasound found fibroids and polyps. (We're trying to have a baby.) Mostly, truly, cancer is very rare. They will always have a pathologist check anything taken out, but mostly lumps is lumps -- just as most lumps in your breasts are fibroid, so to your other girl parts.
I know it's scary -- hell, two years ago, the clerk at the doctor's office told me "they have to do more tests, because the radiologist thinks the tumors in your liver are malignant." They weren't, but you can imagine the fear that went on until I found that out. Hard as it is -- try to relax. And maybe doing that means imagining the very worst. Sometimes that helps me. Good luck.

Monty Girl,
Was the ultrasound to detect fibroids in your uterus? I had my uterus out a many years ago, and there was no cancer. When will you know? Hugs, EJ |

Monty -
The fact I was released from the stress test place yesterday meant they didn't see anything alarming on my images. I overheard them telling one older gentleman that he couldn't leave. It sounded like they were going to send him directly to the hospital. The nurse who gave me the treadmill test, said that no news was good news. She said if my own doctor saw anything she didn't like, she would be on the phone with me in 24 hours. She was off today. I breezed through my partial hysterectomy surgery, because just about everyone I told at the office at that time had had one. It was the old-fashioned kind, where they cut you open. However, all the info I got helped me fly through it. Let us know as soon as you hear. Hugs, EJ |
