I have had the diagnosis of an underactive thyroid since 2007 and have been fine since 2008 on the same dose. Yesterday I went to the Dr and she said its "full." She wants me to get an ultrasound of my thyroid and I go on Friday. Her order paper said "thyromegaly"

Im all confused. My friend said shes the type who likes to run tests but should I be concerned?

Best as I can tell, it means your thyroid is enlarged and the ultrasound is to determine if it's because of fluid collecting or the thyroid growing abnormally. I don't think you should be particularly concerned about it. Hopefully insurance will pay.
