Hi all,
I have been suffering with a constellation of various unexplained symptoms for about six months to a year (that they're all come together), although I've suffered with some symptoms for five years. Symptoms include fatigue, dizziness, headaches, GI symptooms like constipation, reflux and stomach pains, pain all over the body (as if having been behind the computer too long), sensory and cognitive overload, and others. I am obviously not going to ask for medical advice here, but what I'm wondering is, am I alone? Obviously being of the generation Y, I've been looking into various diseases, but I don't want to join a specific support group until I've been diagnosed or at least my doctor has told me what I may have. So I thought I'd turn here for support. Is there anyone who has similar symptoms, or who can offer support in any other way?

I suffer many systems you have said here. I was dx with Severe Depression and I was suppressed to learn of all the physical conditions that arise due to depression - these physical conditions also worsens your depression - which as is common theme with this illness - the most common physical conditions of depression are: Headaches, Back pain, Muscle aches and joint pain, Chest pain, Digestive problems (Queasiness, nausea, diarrhea and chronic constipation can all stem from depression), Exhaustion and fatigue, Sleep disturbances, Change in appetite or weight.
You may want to read up on your diagnoses to see if there are physical conditions. Good luck and I wish you all the best ![]()

Thanks. My DID can cause a lot of physical symptoms I believe. At leas tmy therapist asked when assessing me fo rht eDID whether I had lots of physical ailments. I had my named nurse (I'm institutionalized) E-mail a list of my symptooms to my GP, who will have a meeting with my pdoc in awhile to discuss this.

Nope not alone, I suffer many of the same symptoms, headaches, joint pain and inflammation, GI problems, sun allergies, rashes, ugh list goes on and on. My symptoms come in cycles.
I've been going to the dr for years, loads of testing, still no answers. Hopefully you find out. I'm 99.9% sure that my physical symptoms are not mental. However that really can cause a lot of physical symptoms. Good luck to solving this problem, it sucks to be sick, that's for sure. |
