I got the Holter monitor off today, thank goodness, as the tape had been itching pretty badly. But it really hurt when the tape came off, and the areas where the leeds were stuck on are red, and really sore and rough from being sandpapered before they stuck the leeds on. I really hope I don't have to repeat this test anytime soon.

I go to the cardiologist in 2 weeks to get the results.

I hope the results show you are healthy. A little skin lotion should help with the irritation. I have a very hairy chest so anytime I wear a monitor or have sensors taped to my body, it's painful when they are removed.

Sorry to hear about the skin reaction; it is hard on it. If you have some skin lotion with aloe, it can really help with the irritation and to help it heal faster. It will be nice that that part is done!

My famile Dr. ordered an ECG at my last full physical, and it showed I was tachycardic (rapid heartbeat) plus I've been having chest pains. I'm 99% certain that the chest pains are stress related since I am and have been under an incredible amount of stress for a long time. But I'm overweight, and on a slew of different psych medications, so my Dr. wanted to play it safe and so referred me for a full cardio workup.

I'm glad she's being thorough.

Thanks everybody for the suggestions on the lotion & aloe - I'll definitely try that, as my chest is quite irritated.
