I'm suffering from eczema and have been since I was a child, I had severe breakouts and most of my skin was covered in oozing blisters, but from age 6-10, the breakouts began to get less and for years I didn't have any at all.

However, last years winter turned into a living Hell. It started out as reddened sore areas on the scalp and then later down to the eyebrows, cheeks and T-zone. It eventually spread to the most of my body and it itched. After a few days it turned into white thick scales and the scales became yellow on my scalp.

I though it to be eczema, but I learned that it was psoriasis. My doctor gave me Elocon cream for the body and liquid for the scalp, however it didn't help at all. I started losing my hair and it became visibly thinner. I was so embarrassed and didn't want to step outside my door.

As winter passed and it became warmer, the scaled areas on my body disappeared, however I was always lobster red after a warm shower and my entire body itched.

Now, I still suffer from scalp psoriasis and I haven't found anything which cured the scaly symptoms. The scales are less thick and they're not infected or oozing, it's actually more like small white scales which covers 100% of my scalp and scratching them off causes the skin underneath to bleed.

My hair has grown back and it's stronger, but I really don't know what to do. I want to be able to style my hair and be proud, but the psoriasis is easily spotted. Many flinch when they see it and instantly think it to be dandruff or something dangerous.

I'm going to Egypt next week and hopefully, I pray, it will have but just a minor effect on it. I fear that I'm in for the same horrid winter as the last one, I wouldn't be able to handle that.

If anyone has any experience in this field, please, please share!

Lot's of love,
Nat

DiproSone lotion 0.05%w/w BETAMETHASONE is great stuff, it is a liquid form of the eczema cream that i use on my skin, this liquid form comes in a noseled bottle so you can get it direct on your scalp without messing up your hair. it dries without trace so no need to wash your hair afterwards. after a few days usage my scalp clears up completely but as with all eczemas it does return every not and then.

try to cut out all dairy products from your diet... that includes fortified meats, milk cream butter chese lescithines whey etc and try to buy organic shampoo/conditioner. these steps really help too.
