I'm not sure but my hand has been bothering me for months now. I work at the desk and computer all day and I feel like my hand is getting worse. Two years ago, they thought it was just tendinitis, but it's really flaring up.

It throbs, and aches, and feels really tight in 4 of my 5 fingers on my dominant hand. I'm sure it doesn't help that I text and am on the computer. I'm not sure what to do. I will mention it to my primary doc when I have my annual physical in December. However, last year I had similar symptoms and I went to a hand specialist and he took an X-ray and didn't see anything. Any suggestions?

I took some Advil and Tylenol, but not sure if I should maybe wrap it and stop typing and texting? I also iced it too which helped a tiny bit...

giving your hand a break from texting and typing would be a good start as will give your hand a chance to rest and rebiuld if it is arthritis based
as you say you type and text lots it could be a form of repetitive strain injurym(RSI), so resting it would help this also
Arthritis i think usually comes with some inflamation where RSI i think is just pain
have you thought about using a speach recognition software, that way you don't have to type, you talk and the computer turns what you say into text, that may help you rest your hand. most computers now have one built in, look under 'accessibility' or 'ease of access' in your 'control panel' they take a bit of time to get used to but they are great once you get the hang of them. I can actually write a letter in half the time of that taken by my collegues because i use one!

Yea I have heard of that software. Unfortunately it's simply not an option for me. I have had it wrapped on and off all weekend. Idk. If it doesn't get better by Tuesday or so I might all the doc. I just hope it's not something that is worse or something that can cause permanent damage.
