The same thing happens to me, I don't know how to stop it. I just close my eyes.

When do you feel it most? Try to remember the events that are going on when it happens.

Are you eating ok? Anemia and lack of nutrients can cause vertigo.

could be a blood pressure drop or maybe a sugar drop. I do both but when it is sugar related I start shaking inside really bad. maybe time to see your dr.

could be an ear infection, vertigo or low blood pressure or be induced by certain medications. I know codeine and temazepam can both cause this.

best thing is to go see a doctor and explain your symptoms as he will be able to tell you for certain what the cause is and how best to help it.

The most common medical name for this is vertigo, however, it's simply a label as opposed to a cause or reason. Figuring out the reason can be quite difficult as there's so many and it tends to be a fairly common side-effect from many medications. I wouldn't worry about it unless it's bothering you or becomes so intense you have trouble orienting yourself.
