A former colleague of mine will bring me OTC triptans, but only has a backpack since she is attending a 4-day-long conference and has no checked-in luggage.

I prefer Imitrex nasal spray to both medications in tab form, but spray is too bulky (I need a lot).

So between Imitrex tabs and Relpax tabs, if you have tried both, which would you recommend?

Chemistries are so different with meds and as to which works better, which do you find helps more? I prefer Relpax as it works better for me, I have fewer side effects with it, and it is more convenient to carry (though this is the least of my concerns but a bonus.) I would go with whatever works best.

I have asked for Relpax. It has been years since I took tablets, but if my memory does not fail me, Relpax caused less nausea than Imitrex tabs did.

I have migraines accompanied by nausea, and I do not need MORE nausea caused by the medication!
Thanks for this!

I personally use Relpax for Migraine.

I also get vertigo, and Imitrex seemed to increase the frequency and severity of that so...

That is so interesting. I had vertigo in my twenties, before I got put on triptans. Not since... I also had horrible issues with the vestibular system as a child (and, started having migraines at age 3), but I did not connect them.

It seems to make some sense that they would be connected - all in the brain... right? Some sort of a broad neurological problem with different manifestations, maybe?

I tried Relpax. Havent tried Imitrex. Relpax worked to get rid of my migraines, but I could only take 2 pills a week, and I got a lot more migraines than that! Btw what are Triptans?

Oh, that must be so tough! I get once a week only, usually - exactly the "allowed" frequency.

on a lot more than that!
