I am going to be getting one for 48hrs. Has anyone ever had to wear one and if so what is it like? My heart rate is high, yet my blood pressure is low. So my GP wants to see what is going on with my heart and what we can do to fix it.

My dad has had them due to heart issues. Aside from being a pain to carry around (in a fanny pack) and not being able to shower you don't really notice it.

I had to wear one for 48 hours for the same reason as you 2 summers ago. Not being able to shower was a pain, and I found all the tape holding in on a bit uncomfortable. I also found it hard to sleep with it on.

But really, it wasn't that bad.

Good luck with it.

Sorry to hear! Thankfully, I haven't had to wear one yet! I hear that "Holter" is very accurate for monitoring cardiac dysrhythmia...I know that some guys have had to wear them for up to a week. Best of luck and keep us posted!

I have congenital heart disease, had 4 open heart surgeries, etc..
A halter moniter is really nothing. My cardio gave me one around
my teens, it may be a little annoying, its actually sorta like a purse,
but w wires. It's no big deal. they jist of it is just to monitor
ur heart.

Nothing to be worried about at all. I've had them on a few times. Tell them which side you usually sleep on so they can put the stickers on the other side. Its a bit annoying but not painful or stressful at all. Really dont stress about it.

I've had to wear one once, and the only thing that bothered me was I barely slept because I was worried about the wires coming off. I wore a sports bra and tuckedthe wires in there the best I could.
