I am getting tested for allergens today. I have been miserable for over 2 weeks now. Well over a yr but constantly for 2 weeks. Nothing is helping anymore! My ears are hurting too. :/ Is it odd I am excited for this? lol

Not weird at all. It is a relief to actually know what you are allergic to so you can be less miserable! I'm glad I know what I'm allergic to! Makes me know what to avoid as well as environmental allergies that can make me worse. Good for you taking care of yourself!

I had this done last week. I have been tested before, but this time my arms are now tattooed so they had to use my back, which was a bit unpleasant but no biggie. I hope it went well for you!

I get 2 allergy shots every three weeks now. You build up,from every week and gradually increase until after 5 years you can hopefully stop them.

This is basically my second round of them. The first ones worked well enough, but now I've been allergic to things I wasn't reacting to before (mainly molds). and hoping these will be the last round of shots for me.

If I could get relief with an OTC allergy med that didn't make me drowsy, I would do it, but they just aren't strong enough.

Good luck.

They aren't helping me either. Of course what my regular dr told me to take was completely wrong in the first place. my dr yesterday told me Claritin will never help me with my symptoms! I have year long allergies not just seasonal. and because they're such common things I have to take more strength. mine always turn into sinus infections. always. and I don't always get relief from antibiotics after taking those for said infections. im excited to be feeling better hopefully soon!!

I hope you have better luck with your allergy shots than i did. I've been allergic to ants my whole life, and pre-shots, the worst that ever happened was i broke out in hives, and the place i got bit got extremely swollen. Now, I literally have about 2minutes to get some sort of antihistamine into me before i stop breathing. .... ps. I really do not mean to scare you. that was just my experience.... but i also have a severely compromised immune system and always have..
