So I have this lump that's is close to my jaw line near the back for about 4 months now. It's pretty close to the surface but it's there hasn't go a away and doesn't bother me at all (other then the fact it's there). It's about the size of a pea. I also have found one under my arm that comes and goes and can get painful sometimes. After freaking myself out about it for weeks I finally gathered up enough courage to see him about it (I was worried he would tell me it's nothing and that I overreacted). And that's exactly what happened. His actual words were that the lump on my jaw was probably a bug bite that never shrunk and was benign and that the lump under my arm was just skin irritation. While I can understand his explanation of the bump under my arm, I'm still worried about the lump around my jaw. Can you tell if something is benign by just looking at it? I've had other symptoms too especially being exhausted ALL of the time, but I do t think he is taking me seriously. But the. Again I'm not a doctor so wouldn't he know what he is talking about? Should I just go sigh what he says or get a second opinion?

I would get a second opinion. Typical bug bites heal sooner than 4 mos, and if not, it should be investigated. It could very well be benign cysts but should be investigated further to confirm that. Definitely get a second opinion. Hoping that is what it turns out to be.
