I really feel someone my age (31) should not have all the ailments I have. I have depression, anxiety, poly cystic ovarian syndrome, asthma, allergies, rare macular eye dystrophies, paranoia, a newly found tumor on my liver, possible IBS.. I'm scared to know what they will find next as no one can figure out my exact stomach issues. I literally feel like every year I'm given a new health ailment. Any one in the same boost or have advice?

I don't know that more ailments make us older, but it does make us wiser to the ways of the world and more compassionate to ourselves and the struggles of others. It is not easy to struggle with ailments and illness. You might be surprised as to how many others are in the same boat that at such young ages, and even younger let alone older, are dealing with quite a umber of ailments and illnesses. It does not make it any less troublesome though to have to deal with the illnesses but know that we may not realize what others go through, everyone has something they have to contend with, that we are not alone. We just have to try to take in stride what we are faced with, do what we can to take the best care of ourselves, get the treatment that we need, do what we need to to get through each day, and know we are not alone, never alone. It may not make us old, but it definitely brings out our strength, our courage, and makes us survivors.
I hope you find some peace and good care to help you with all that you are contending with. Hang in there meanwhile. Wishing you well. ![]()

I am sorry you have so much on your plate at only 31. I do not know that physical age has much to do with anything. People are born with nasty illnesses and don't get me started on genetics

I feel for you and the angst of it all.
I too feel too old for my age. All that has beset me in the past 4 months has actually aged me incredibly, visibly. And I feel old now whereas four months ago I did not. It's miserable, I know. My heart goes out to you.

Traveling west back toward Eden (interestingly the wise men in the Gospel account of Jesus' birth came from the East), has been full of confrontation with the trials and tribulations of living outside the Garden. She is an artist without doubt disappointed that paradise was not as close in 1969 as she and so many others hoped it was. Her work is now filled with the reality of humanity's failure to achieve the prophetic dream of her song, but never without the hope that that day will yet come. |
