So I've had consistently high blood pressure for at least a year, probably more. Tuesday it tested at about 154/110, but the specialist tested it three times yesterday, twice with him not in the room and it averaged in the high 130s/100s, just borderline. The doc wants to make sure my blood pressure is high all the time and not just when I'm in a room with a doctor, so he ordered a 24 hour test.
So now I get to wear a cuff for 24 hours and get squeezed every 30 minutes. I hate it. I don't want to go anywhere because I don't want people to look at me hooked up to a blood pressure monitor. And how am I supposed to sleep?

Sounds like it would be very annoying. Thank goodness you only have to wear it 24 hours. However, you may not get much sleep, especially if you are a light sleeper.
When my mom was in the hospital, she had to wear to whole time. Somehow she seemed to be able to sleep with little distrubance, but they may had her on sleep medication for all I know. Hopefully, it will show your BP to be lower than thought and better for your health.
