Hello, sunshine1995. Have you had a doctor look at your jaw?

No it's only been a couple days. I don't have dental on my insurance. I just talked to my sister who has tmj. She recommends getting a mouth guard to sleep with at night. I'm gonna try that...damn it hurts!

It sucks. Mouthguard is a good bet. Also try using ice on your jaw.

Take some pain killer for time being you will feel better. Visit doctor as soon as possible.

It's weird, it went away. The night before it happened I was eating almonds. It's like it came out of joint. The first 2 days was agony. But then I started only eating soft foods and it slowly went away.

I hope it never comes back, it didn't hurt as much as my back can but damn it did hurt...

I wish u all well.

Yeah doing soft food diet can help it go away. Nuts can set it off! Baby carrots did for me!

The temporomandibular joint parts are sophisticated structures that contain muscles, tendons, and bones. Injury to or disorders of the structures may all result in pain from the jaw location. Jaw discomfort may occur on one side as well as on both equally sides, depending upon the axact reason. Also depending upon the actual cause, the pain may well occur any time chewing as well as may happen at regular intervals. Additionally, other medical ailments not linked to the TMJ might result in perceived pain in the jaw area.
