My blood pressure has really been up lately (a few weeks ago it was 184/130), so my GP put me on lisinopril HCTZ, and I HATE it. I'm so weak I can't do anything and sweating like a draft horse all the time. Apparently these are some of the "call your doctor" side effects, but in my experience, if you actually do call your doctor, they just say the side effects will eventually go away. He told me I need to lose weight, too, but exercising is impossible like this. So miserable!
Is anyone else on this med combination? If so, have you had these side effects? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have taken Lisinopril for a long time and it keeps my blood pressure normal. I did not have any side effects but we are all different and I am lucky that way.
Not sure what HCTZ is or what you mean by combination?

HCTZ is another blood pressure med. It's often combined with lisinopril. When I was on lisinopril alone, I had no side effects, but it wasn't keeping my blood pressure down. :-( Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It's time to call your doctor's office to tell them you're having adverse reactions. There are many different effective blood pressure medications and if your current regimen has really uncomfortable side effects, your doctor may have a dozen other tricks up his/her sleeve. It's often trial and error to find something that keeps your blood pressure down and allows you to feel good at the same time.
I wish you the best. I've been through these trial and error things with medications and now have a regimen that works with minimal side effects, but it took some time to find it. Good luck to you. |

How many milligrams? You might need less HCTZ. I take 25 mg of that and 10 mg of lisinopril. However, I might not really need either after leaving my last job!
