Went to get a blood test a week or two ago,and have now found out that I have vitamin D deficiency, the level was meant to be 80-100 but mine is 23.>.< realllllyy low,it was lower then that before.Anyways the meds the doc gave me were 20,000 IU colecalciferol(D3 500mcg) thing is I can't clearly remember whether the GP said to take one everyday or not,my memory is real bad these days¬__¬
On the box there is a sticker on it the GP usually puts on which says your name and stuff, then it says "Take ONE on alternate day" ?_? I don't know whether should take one everyday or miss a day then take one and so on. btw, does low vitamin D cause tremor because that's the reason for the blood test and stuff,I have to go get another blood test soon to see whether my tremor is getting better+how well the medicine is |

I am familiar with the vitamin D chatter and how it can affect us, neurologically.
Is your doctor suggesting a neurological examination? How long have the tremors been occurring? As far as taking your prescription, it's typically sage advise to follow as instructed. |

I haven't heard anything about a neurological examination from my doctor,I might do soon though.
As for the tremor it's been around for around a month now. It started off in my thumb(right hand) then to the whole of my hand.About a week ago it also started in my left hand,I feel like It's just getting worse and worse. I faintly remember my index finger shaking when I would point at the words I was reading in a book when I was around 7. I think around the first week of when my tremor started only in my thumb,I was basically just sat at my computer chair(on my computer) and suddenly my whole right hand started shaking then my left hand, legs then arms,*-* I was really freaked out,I could barely stand up. ---have a good day--- ![]() |

Vitamin D deficiency in isolation shouldn't cause muscle tremors or such, but as vitamin D metabolizes calcium, low serum calcium can result from vitamin D deficiency. Calcium plays a role in the neuromuscular junction and can effect muscular movements in a number of ways including spasms or tremors. I would ask your doctor about getting an ionized calcium level

How are you doing now? My husband had to take vit D, weekly. It may be different since sometimes there's a loading and a maintenance dose. Always call your doc back and even the pharmacist if there's even the littlest bit of hesitation, it's just a 2-minute phone call. Every rx for a situation is unique to the patient, hope you're doing well
