Hey, everyone. This is something that I've been thinking about a lot lately. I've been feeling fatigued for a while now, but over the past month or so it seems to have gotten significantly worse. Example: Last weekend I raked leaves. It took me about 4 hours and I wasn't even working at a very fast pace. I felt tired the whole time, but afterwards I was completely wiped out. Went inside and took a several hour nap and that didn't even help. I was pretty much done for the rest of the day. That's an extreme example. The best way to describe it is most of the time I just have absolutely no motivation to do anything at all (house work, etc).

Here are the things that I know:

1. I don't sleep well these days and wake up numerous times a night. I don't feel rested no matter how much sleep I get.

2. I'm not grossly overweight (5'9', 210lbs) but I do need to lose weight.

3. Little things irritate me lately, more than usual.

4. I love lifting weights, but over that last few weeks I feel horrible at the gym and even worse afterwards. Even thinking about working out makes me tired.

That's just a small portion. I have done several online checklists and they all point to possible low testosterone levels. I did have some bloodwork done for my insurance at the beginning of the year, but they didn't check my test. Everything that they did check came back fine with the exception of slightly elevated cholesterol.

So, anyway, would it be wise for me to get my doctor to check my T levels and maybe my thyroid? I want to nip this in the bud because I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of things in life.

Definitely talk to your doctor. Also try to look into the possibility of sleep apnea. I may have sleep apnea, and I have a sleep study next week. Sleeping poorly can really do a number on your energy levels throughout the day!

I do snore, sometimes horribly. My wife left the bedroom last night because if it. Sometimes the snoring is so bad I wake myself.

That's a big sign of sleep apnea. I don't snore as much since I bought a memory foam pillow that makes me sleep on my side. But my sleep is still crap.
