This morning I had a ton of pain in my upper abdomen and throughout my lower back...I felt like vomiting cause the pain was so severe. It felt exactly like a gallbladder attack...a bad one. I don't have my gallbladder anymore so I can rule that out.

I'm just worried that it might be something really bad...my mom died of cancer in that area, which is scaring the hell out of me. I remember all she went through...how awfully painful it was for her.

I know I can't just walk into the ER and order them to take x-rays for me...just to make sure there's nothing there. How can I find out what's wrong??? I know I won't be satisfied unless they take x-rays...I'm just so scared...

Lexi,

How about starting by calling your doctor, or if the pain is sufficiently severe, you might want to just go directly to the ER.

Have you had your appendix out?

When you say you "had" the pain... does that mean it had gone when you were writing your post? If so, then perhaps you ought to just meet with your dr and be examined. If it's currently really bad though then you should do what EJ suggested and go to the ER...

Do what EJ said - maybe best to not take chances.

i have had sore right tum and spew last weekend but I just figured it must be something I ate OR a UTI which has caused the same symptoms - nothing some cranberry won't fix.

But yours sounds weird - complain till they check it out lady :>

The pain lasted for about 30-40 minutes. I can call my doc tomorrow.

Thanks
