I noticed that for the last 1 month, my body is occasionally itching. It doesn't happen constantly, but every time I start sweating, my whole body starts to itch very strong (like I am suddenly bitten by 100 mousqitoes). This feeling is also accompanied with a burn so strong that I really can't restrain NOT to scratch. When I look closely at my arms (the area below the shoulder), I noticed that the pores of the skin are blocked (there are small white bits on some of the hairs).
I am 22 years old, 176 tall, 94 kg (overweight) and I eat meat almost every day. I drink 1 coffee per day and around 1 litre of water per day. I have no history of allergies. I shower every day and maintain good hygiene. I think it has to do with the meat (I live in the UK and the meat here is full of hormones and other chemicals) and not drinking a lot of water but I am not sure. Do you have any recommendations? I hope that you can help me. The problem is very annoying and I am starting to worry. Thank you and appreciated. Edit: I just went back from the doctor and got diagnosed with Keratosis Pilaris. She said it was genetic and recommended a cream for treatment. However, she also mentioned that even if the rash goes away, my skin will probably remain bumpy and sensitive... ![]() Last edited by venom0706; Mar 04, 2016 at 07:22 AM. |

Hello venom0706: Well... you did the right thing... going to the doctor. I'm not familiar with this condition. So I don't have any useful suggestions for you I'm afraid. I have had patches of eczema in the past for which I was prescribed a steroidal cream. It really helped. Hopefully the cream you have been prescribed will do likewise... Good luck!
