I've recently started having moments were my body will begin to feel like it's shaking briefly.apart of me wants to say this is my conversion disorder but apart of me doesn't want to chalk everything up to that being just a mental thing.the problem is I don't know who to go to a psychiatrist or my regular physician or if I even should since it only happens for a few seconds

Hello passionfruit3: My personal perspective would be that you might want to start with your medical doctor. This if s/he can't find anything, consult your pdoc.

I'm an older person & for a while now, I've noticed that my whole body feels sort-of shaky all of the time. It's not so much that anyone would notice. But I feel it. I did mention it to my pdoc during my last appointment. He just suggested that he could write me a prescription for Neurontin. I've thought about seeing my medical doctor about it. However, I doubt he would be able to find anything. And, even if he did, he'd probably only be able to suggest some med I could take as well; & I don't want to resume taking any medications. I got off of my SNRI a few months ago; & I have every intention of staying off of medications altogether.

I too would go to my medical physician first, to get checked out. There are several possibilities that can cause it and are treatable. If my health was ok, then I would contact a pdoc. Best wishes meanwhile.

I agree with the others. Get your GP to check you out first, then if he doesn't find anything you can check with the psychiatrist.
