I have to see my doctor for breathing problems tomorrow but i really want to get my health problems dealt with and thats hard to cause im not the best at advocating for myself but if i could say what I wanted to say id tell her that i hate that she chalks all my symptoms up to being mental cause i have conversion disorder id tell her that since ive been fifteen ive had off and on stomach pain and gas that has not been taken care of and ive even noticed i can not stand in one spot for to long or i get physically ill.but even if i told her all this my regular doctor never seems to hear me when i talk

Hello passionfruit3: Yes, I hear what you're saying. Personally, I have allot of little physical problems. No one of them is REALLY serious in-&-of itself. But altogether they have made my day-to-day life more difficult than it probably needed to be.

I used to go to the doctor for some of my difficulties. But, over time, I've come to believe that as long as I'm standing up, they're simply not going to be recognized & I end up just feeling foolish for having taken up the doctor's time. As a result, I just don't go anymore unless I'm in serious pain. (I had a kidney stone recently & I did seek treatment for that... it hurt like hell!) The other problem I've run into is that sometimes the "cure", so to speak, is worse than the problem. Having had this experience makes me doctor-shy as well.

I do hope that your appointment with your doctor tomorrow is more fruitful.
