Yesterday I was in a store at the checkout, and I was on my period. As I was standing there I started getting extremely faint, and broke out into a cold sweat. The world seemed like it was spinning around me and my hearing even dimmed out for a few seconds. I was looking around like a crazy person all panic-y wondering what was going on with me. I felt like I might throw up! Luckily after what seemed like a year of bagging my stuff the lady finished. I sat down for a few minutes before attempting to make my way to the car. I staggered to the car, and (someone else was driving) tried to rest. These symptoms went away after about an hour, but were pretty severe. I thought I might die. After I got home and laid down all the symptoms went away completely. I do have really bad cramps when I'm on my period, but this has never happened before. Could this be related? Or something else?

It could be related to your period. It also describes low blood sugar. Could be a lot of other things too. Be sure to tell your doc next visit. If it happens frequently or you actually pass out, you can go to ER or call 911.

Yup, definately a symptom of period pain. It's due to blood loss and low blood sugar. What might help is to carry something sweet. And maybe increase your iron intake a week before it starts.
