I'm experiencing so much pain right now. I believe it to be Fibromyalgia but my doctor fobbed it of as a Vitamin D deficiency. Blood tests show a deficiency which is fair enough, but I was on the tablets which are supposed to level out the deficiency and nothing changed. If anything, my pain has got worse.

I'm in bed, was crying, because this pain is ridiculous. I can't move my neck without it feeling like my neck is being stabbed and crushed at the same time. My wrist is the same. I feel weak and tired 90% of the time and doing simple things is becoming difficult. Worst part is, I'm 18. I should be able to walk around the city without needing to lean on my boyfriend to ease pain in my legs.

I've put Phorpain Gel on my neck, wrist and ankle since they are the worst right now, but it's not kicked in. This stuff was prescribed for my great-grandma's pain but it worked absolute wonders when I trapped my sciatic nerve in my back and couldn't move, so my mum brought it round about half an hour ago.

How can I convince my doctor to take me seriously? I know when something isn't right but my doctor, my psychiatrist and my community nurse (as well as my mum) are making me feel like I'm imagining it and it's a psychological pain.. WHICH IT ISN'T.

Khione... I have Fibro and it is pain... more than people realize... and i could not properly walk today cause of my hip, the other day my foot... I feel for you.... There has got to be something for it... check into supplements as well that you can take in addition to medicines to help alleviate the pain... i wish you the best... we are both in the same boat! (((hugs)))
Thanks for this!

Can you get in at a rheumatologist? There are many different things that can cause pain like you describe it. A GP should not handle this IMO. An expert might find out what is really wrong with you. Sadly many people like that go undiagnosed, my friend was undiagnosed for an illness belonging in that specialty for 20 years! Because "Some back pain is normal". Sigh. They didn't believe her until she had zero movement span in her lower back and very little in her upper back.

Your pain is not normal, and it is pretty crappy of people to suggest that it is. You need help. And you shouldn't have to wait like my friend had to, to you're middle aged.
Thanks for this!

Were your Vitamin D levels rechecked? Really it might not truly help until you are in a good blood level even if you are taking the pills. and sometimes people have trouble absorbing the capsules and need the liquid drops.
