Hey everyone,

To those of you that don't already know, I'm a long time sufferer of allergies, eczema, and acne. The allergies can be controlled by taking an antihistamine when needed but that does very little for the eczema and acne. Topical creams help eczema for the most part (unless it's extremely bad, and there have been times that that has happened) but the acne...

The acne is absolutely awful. I have scars everywhere because of it and it triggered Excoriation Disorder - which was known as Dermatillomania and Skin Picking Disorder, a form of OCD - which only makes it worse. I have tried acne medication, low level antibiotics, and many, many creams. The one that works to some degree also causes my skin to burn so I don't really like using it all too often.

My question is if hemp based products are good for skin like mine. I read an article about how hemp is an amazing cure for both acne and eczema because it's not heavy, it's natural and it can promote healing. I'm wary about going out and buying it, though, only because I've bought a lot of products for my skin and for the most part, they don't work.

So, has anyone used hemp based products? Have you had any successes with it, or know someone who has had success? Is it worth trying?

"Hemp oil, made from pressing the seeds of the plant, is fast becoming a player in the beauty world. It has high levels of Vitamin A, C, and E, is rich in amino acids, and is an antioxidant." From: Beauty Products Made With Hemp Oil - Hempseed Oil for Beauty

Sounds like a lot of other products you may have tried. I'd buy a good, inexpensive one and see how well it worked for you. It couldn't hurt. I don't think there's a magic bullet though from the outside. Have you played with your diet at all, made sure you are eating skin-healthy? 25 Best Foods For Your Skin : 25 Best Foods For Your Skin |
