physical pain this is...

do you have a high pain threshhold?. or a low one

mine is extremely low... just touch me- and i'll start to be in agony (well okay, not litirally), but you get my drift.. i'm in pain before what's actually
been done has been done

I have a high pain threshold, except when it comes to headaches. It is the only thing that I puts incapacitates me.

The Skeezyks seems to have a never-ending capacity for self-inflicted mental pain... but not a very high threshold for physical pain...

Low threshold for foot and head pain, high tolerance for all other pain, until I had a crushed nerve in my spine....now I've a low threshold for all pain.

I have a fairly high threshold for pain. I noticed because when other people would get a minor injury they complain all day long about it, as if they can't stand it. And whenever I have pain I am able to ignore it, not worry about it or feel the need to talk about it. I got injured a lot as a child and never got medical assistance, so maybe that developed my threshold a bit. One time I had such a severe that I could hardly get out of bed for anything (concentration was impossible). I was 17 and dropped out so I didn't have anywhere to go, though. I regret not saying anything now because I have problems with that ear. Which I still haven't told anyone. I also didn't get my wisdom teeth pulled (no money or insurance) so I dealt with those pains for years. didn't speak of it. I also am not bothered by shots, even the ones in the gums. XD yay i have dental now!

Generally my pain tolerance threshold is high. But I am not being able to tolerate this one.I have hurt my hip while lying on bed last week. I thought that my back pain is going to get better in 2-3days time, but it isn't. Looks like I may have a hairline fracture in my hip bone I think I have to see an orthopaedist soon.

I really don't know.

Childbirth is my one experience of major pain and I was okay until the last 3 hours, apparently I was so composed previous to this the staff didn't realise how my labor had progressed. So maybe it's a bit higher than some idk.

It depends on the type of pain...anything with my stomach, and it's the lowest. The rest of my body (like, breaking bones, or getting a fever) is extremely high.

Extremely high. The doctors were surprised how much pain I could take.

I always thought mine was fairly low, but my gyn doctor believes otherwise (had an IUD inserted and later a boil drained and she says I stayed calm and held in there like a badass). I'm wondering if it may be more an anxiety toward pain on my part than an actual increased physical sensitivity. I've been trying to take on a tougher attitude toward pain in the last few years. I'm embarrassed by my aversion--plus I want to get a tattoo. So anxiety aside, I would have to say that my pain tolerance level is probably average.
