Ok this might need to go in Health support. But really alls I need is some help making a decision on whether or not to cut and take out my stitche( from my carpal tunnel surgery) myself. MY skin is starting to grow over the stitches. On 3 of them they are almost invisible except for the knot on the one side. The other 2 would be easier to take out. The incision itself is shut.. you can barely tell its there. I tried talking to my Doctors medical assistant on Wednesday and Friday.. they said they would be fine. But I dont want to wait till Tuesday for them to dig the stiches out of my hand! Do you think it would be bad to do it myself now?

Thanks
Beth

Leave them ALONE, Goofbutt!! They won't get stuck to your skin. If anything, you'll have little holes where the stiches are! Help making a decision about stitches lol They'll seal up later. I promise! Help making a decision about stitches lol

I think you might wait also, as they might decide on Tuesday that the skin won't hold together and leave them in. It's not worth having a worse scar, or needing to have the stitches put back in should it pull apart. I'm glad the skin is growing over, and that you appear to be healing. How is the pain? (Your typing is good too Help making a decision about stitches lol )
