So I was diagnosed with cellulitis along with an abscess 2 days ago. It's on my left calf. They lanced the abscess for it to day and gave me stronger antibiotics. Well I've been dealing with massive amounts of pain. The worst pain in my life. It feels like the abscess is growing. I shouldn't be in this much pain. My husband thinks I'm being over dramatic but this kind of pain is not right. Nothing touches it. Feels like my leg is being ripped apart. I can't even put pressure on it. Anyone have any advice?

Go back to the ER or wherever you had it lanced and have it looked at again. Cellulitis is nothing to screw around with. I had it years ago and was on an IV antibiotic for 2 weeks.

If they confirm that they abscess is ok, maybe they can give you something for the pain.
