It seems no matter how much water I drink I’m always thirsty. When I get like this I could probably chug a gallon bottle in a few minutes. I know my meds can cause dry mouth, but this is ridiculous.

Be sure to tell your doc about your thirst. A lot of meds can cause excessive thirst, but so can diabetes and other conditions. I hope it's nothing serious.

Do you drink a lot of coffee or sugary drinks? Because they can contribute to dehydration a lot.
Thanks for this!

Are you having to get up in the middle of the night to pee?

Extreme thirst and frequent urination are signs of diabetes.
Thanks for this!

if you drink a LOT of water a day, and i mean more than 3 quarts for non-athletes, you might be washing vital minerals out of your body~! this is not a simple case of 'thirst', it is a cause for concern~

Agree it could be diabetes or something else, you need to see a doctor.

I have really bad dry mouth and I drink a lot of water. I had diabetes for a while but I lost some weight.

Do get your blood sugar checked, though, to rule out diabetes.

I have this same problem. I agree to get blood tested just in case. I have gotten tested for diabetes, etc. because of this, and it all came back normal.

I think, in my case, it is a combination of a bunch of things:
1) sometimes I'm just thirsty because I didn't drink enough water or eat enough water-containing food that day
2) my meds make my mouth dry
3) maybe I ate too much salty food that day
4) when I'm anxious, my mouth / throat feels dry
5) I actually get anxious ABOUT being thirsty. Like, if I don't have a water bottle with me, I get worried that I'm going to to be thirsty, so I get more anxious, which makes me thirsty.

edit: this thread made me thirsty. (seriously though)
