I have lived a good portion of my life without all this newer technology. Even when cell phones became more widely used I began noticing as my husband used it a lot for his business that people began calling him at all hours and his phone often interrupted us having a nice quiet dinner together. The whole idea of having a business that is open during certain hours began to change along with having weekends off and people began to gradually give very little thought about when they called and even began to be entitled with intruding for their immediate need for gratification.

I don't think our technology is all bad, however, I can see how it can become more and more addictive as well present extra stresses that individuals don't realize they are experiencing that can be unhealthy for them. It concerns me how people take their phones to bed too, how they have become more and more dependent and addicted to their iphones and I had most definitely felt for a long time now if being "this connected and dependent" was healthy. Apparently, we are now admitting that there is actually growing evidence that, using this technology more and more, has in fact proven to be "unhealthy".
