For 2 years now, waiting to feel better, but never do, something wrong all thd time, something that makes it feel like it's more than generalised anxiety which I been getting treated for last year.
It makes me feel frustrated really. This past 6 months I developed aches and discomfort in my lower left side, I tried ignoring it, but it just wouldn't go away, so seen a doctor, told them my symptoms. Mild pain, sometimes cramps, get constipated sometimes, although better this month. Sometimes when I get up from the seat, I get a hard feeling. Massaging it helps get the gas out or go to empty my bowels helps a bit. I mention I get some blood sometimes, or it smells like a dead animal. But this month was ok, no blood. Had a physical exam, urine test and blood test. All was normal. He said that if the blood test comes normal, then I don't have to worry too much about it. It almost went away at the GP clinic like most pains. Now it's still there, a mild discomfort, sometimes goes sore and moves to the groin., when I stand up, it goes to the leg. If I sit crossing my legs or feed up on the stool crossed, it hurts when I get up. After eating sometimes my stomach feels heavy and easily full, and starts the discomfort, but I don't have much trouble with eaating. Is this llikely something like IBS? Would it do any harm trying OTC meds for IBS to see if it works? If it were something like cancer, a tumor, ulcer, IBD, Celiacs, parasites or anything else, the blood test would be abnormal right? It's hard to beleive that a normal blood test means all these feeling are all in the head! To top it up, I been dealing with acid reflux, sinus issues (which I have prescription for), sleep paralysis, pressure in the middle of the head. And today while driving, I felt tense, needed to stretch, pain in my arms and legs and discomfort in the back of my neck and tension headache. I get nerve pain down my leg sometimes, and it's frustrating and uncomfortable. Tried stretches and excercises for leg nerve pain, not much happens. The pain in my arm developed after tying a string yesterday. Had check ups before, for spinal joint issues and cramps. said my legs were fine, my arms were fine. Had blood tests, ecg, chest xrays, all normal. I was planning on doing some travelling, but was waiting for these feelings to go away. But they just won't. It's hard to know whether the feelings are get are serious or fake or nothing more than imaginary. . Last year I thought I had helicobacter, it wasn't in the end, then gum pain, dentist couldn't find anything. I drink plenty of water, honey, ginger, still the same. I feel embarassed and awkward going there to the gp clinic all the time, so I try to ignore my symptoms as much as possible, but it's like gagging for attention sometimes, with some discomforts, I'm like sensitive to them and other times some symptoms dissapear. I'm meant to be 29 not 92. There's always something wrong, and it makes me feel fed up of everything... it feels like a curse. Is it likely this is all to do with anxiety? Can feeling a little down or angry be enough? |

As much as it'd be nice to shrug everything off into the land of "see a T", to me, something has got to explain honest physical pain and symptoms. Healthy bloodwork at least puts the mind at ease over what was looked for.
You mention only clinics and general practitioners, what about seeking out a specialist? Internal med, neurology, etc? What about a homeopathic doctor? As a neurology patient, I've seen one too many limbo land types of stories, only to see follow up years later of a definitive diagnosis. Keep pushing the topic to any and every provider that you can. |

Went through all the blood tests, xrays, you name it. Had to demand an MRI before they found the problem. Xrays don't show everything.

Blood tests don't always show everything.
What about a colonoscopy? If you are having tons of digestive issues, that should likely be done. There's also nuclear tests that can reveal a lot about the digestive system. And I agree with @healingme4me . Seek out specialists. If you need referrals, then get a second opinion with a different PCP first, one who will refer you. Even if you don't need referrals, you should get a new PCP anyway. You need to trust your doctor will do right by you, and it sounds like this trust isn't there. |
