I have gerd and it seems like every time it acts up I get very restless like my legs and arms are like on pins and needles , then once I cough up my stomach after awhile that feeling seems to go away,is this all nerves? Can nerves make my gerd worse? I actually feel like I am about ready to jump out of my own skin, this shakiness has been lasting for about a week now I take my meds and yet I feel like I am going to fall,I had a serve fall about ten years ago and I certainly dont need another one, to say the least I am so scared,

I think anxiety at times can make many things feel worse by virtue of it being anxiety.
The dizziness as I've learned care of my own personal experiences with dizziness can be one of those unexplainable conditions. I even just had a brief moment this morning for instance, it was fleeting I probably had low bp but stress could have made it an anxiety attack to boot or even dehydration as I hadn't had water or oj with my coffee before working out. It can be rooted with so many variables that it's difficult to pin down. I wonder with your gerd if your body is absorbing enough nutrients to keep you from feeling dizzy? ![]() |

I don't know why your dizzy spells would be more during coughing fits. What does your doctor think about them? I had a few different opinions. One my MS and heat from the shower(my gut says I doubt it's that), the other was dehydration which my gut says yeah huge factor. My grandmother also said that she has had such occurances off and on in her life. We both have autoimmune disorders of different types. Today I was getting up too quickly, but it was morning and I hadn't had more than coffee. There is a thread somewhere on pc about Mornings and dizzy spells. Within the past couple of months. I don't have access at this very moment but can return to find it. It's a great unknown, truly it is. No vertigo here either. Last edited by healingme4me; Jul 23, 2018 at 06:57 PM. I thought gerd was with the esophageal system? I must have it confused with something else that one of my sons aunts just had.

It does have somethng to do with it another words for it is acid reflux .It can cause so much damage and plenty of problems besides acid ,like you can get sinus infection from it I get them a lot, throw up to ugh get really sick to your stomach I just read that it can even cause depression I already have that .I do take Xantac for it ,it does help or Nexium. The meds the doctor gave me wont even touch me.It can make you feel very sick at times too.Sour stomach and get this a chemical taste in your mouth too,Ido get that to sometimes it is so bad it taste like floor cleaning stuff,it can give me anxieties I will tell u that,

I think with many illnesses the reason why depressions and anxieties tag along with their diagnosis' is the physiological aspect. I never had a prior depression or anxiety diagnosis until I had an MS diagnosis. Then those 2 mh illnesses exacerbate with or without a flare up. That's why my first thought in the thread was with your gerd if that caused nutrients to not attach to your body which can factor into the dizzy spells. Physiologically that can factor in with anxiety too. I've had plenty of anxiety attacks that don't match any emotional trigger. I can get an anxiety attack just from lack of sleep or any other health issue much like if I catch a cold I have to watch for potential ms flares.
It's different for those of us that have health illnesses where mh is concerned. ![]() |
