Ok, I have a new doctor I stumbled onto. I went for an appointment at a new doctor's office and when I got there; I found out I had left my wallet with my id and insurance cards at home. Actually, I didn't know where they were; I just knew I didn't have them on me.
UGH!!! So, their next available appointment was several days away, and I was out of my meds. I set up the appointment and got on the phone to find a doc I could get into sooner. I happened on a local clinic I knew nothing about but they took walk-ins and could see me the next day. And the lady who answered the phone and got me an appointment was really friendly and positive. I liked her right off the bat! So I canceled the other appointment and went to this one the following afternoon. My doc is a Nurse Practitioner who spent a ton of time with me answering my questions and getting my health history. When we were going over my meds, I told her I hadn't been taking my thyroid for a while because I saw no improvements. My fatigue is wretched and for me to even get through a day is strenuous, much less have my brain working correctly. Kindly, she explained to me why thyroid was so important. I had no idea what all thyroid contributes to. I think also, being depressed for so long, I wasn't in the mindset about what do I needed to do to better health. And, I was convinced the traumatic amnesia caused my chronic fatigue, so I just focused on getting through each day. Ok, so I got my new thyroid meds and started taking them correctly about three days ago. When I first get up I don't eat anything or have my cherished morning coffee for at least one hour ![]() I am GOBSMACKED at the difference in my energy levels. Did I say Gobsmacked?? GOBSMACKED!! Before, I would write in the early morning when I get up because by noon, my brain was really tired. It is almost 5:30 and I am still doing much better. I have been taking my thyroid meds for about 3 days now and already I see a huge improvement! I actually got some chores done today! I cannot remember the last time I was able to do that Signed: Utterly Gobsmacked!

That is super-great, Happy! Your thyroid level must have been really low without your realizing it, and as you’re seeing it can have HUGE effects on all sorts of things including your weight.
This is very very positive news. 😀♥️ |

Thank you!! YES!!!!! I am thrilled and my appetite is much lower than it was. You know, I have been on thyroid meds for decades and when I took it, my blood work always came back ok, but I could not shake the horrid fatigue.
I can't help but wonder about the fact that my mental health is better having a lot to do with that. I work super hard on the negative thoughts roaming around in my head to do everything I can to resolve them so they will leave me alone. I am just astonished at the difference.

Again, super-wonderful!
Sorry about the coffee, tho. I went through something similar with Fossamax, but it was only a half hour. ☕️ |

Eating seafood helps your thyroid.. I know this from having an eating disorder. Drink healthy yogurt drinks and stay away from sugar if you can-swap with something else

i just hit an increased dose on my synthyroid. 137 mg mcg? idk but step 2 in the process of having hypothyroidism. been dealing with it for years but some how my doctor forgets test, doesnt write scrips ect. painfully irritating. i have huge issues in taking a single pill and nothing else, no coffee and waiting.. so non compliance is my fault. most of the time i dont have time for that in getting ready for work and what not. ugh
