So I have nerve issues, arthritis and precancerous skin I’m currently dealing with. Now none of these are lethal - yet. I usually don’t share my struggles with people because everybody has issues and I don’t feel I need to burden them. However, lately I’ve been concerned about the continuous addition of physical ailments - the mental stuff is hard enough. Also, since I’ve always had a non-existent love life the physical stuff seems to negatively impact the probability of any romance. Lately, my arms have felt weak and strange - like they’re not going to function soon - could that happen because that would be a drag...... anyway it’s late and I needed to post where I’m at - thanks for listening.,.,,,

Are the nerve issues likely to impact on your arms? Please see a doctor so that you can be checked over. It's not nothing and you deserve to be helped and heard just as must as anybody else is.
Thanks for this!

Thanks for sharing your circumstances. This sounds to me like what is generally referred to as neuropathy. My recollection is there is quite a bit of discussion on the subject of neuropathy that occurs on PC's sister website: NeuroTalk. Perhaps you're familiar with it... maybe even a member? If not, here's a link:

Best wishes...

I feel weak in the arms when my electrolytes are out of whack. Also statins can cause muscle weakness. My cousin is an auto mechanic and he stopped taking cholesterol meds almost as soon as he started taking them, he said he couldnt lift his arms to do his job.

Im finding as i age, i need to exercise in order to feel well enough. So far, thankfully its still working. I am not gonna be happy when it doesnt.
Thanks for this!

I’ve been checked - I’ve had surgery for my ulnar nerve in my left arm. I’ve also had tunnel carpal surgery on my wrists. Still numb though - I guess I was expecting more. I’m also dealing with some pre cancerous skin - doing some treatment but it’s taking forever to heal. Disappointed because I’m retired and not that old. Have some trouble keeping the old head up because of my years as a loner - the emotions are pretty raw at this point. Anyway thanks for the response.... appreciated!

Thanks, I’ve always been an exerciser - walking and biking. Lately I’ve felt my age and aloneness. Scary stuff aging - scarier if you’re doing it alone. Always had to be my own muse but it’s exhausting.... anyway appreciate it and onward...,
