They took my blood pressure today at the dentist. I have never had that done before. It was kinda freaky. Mine was high as normal but she went on. I was just there for a regular cleaning without xrays, nothing else.

Does anyone else get their blood pressure taken at the dentist? It just seems really weird and random.

I haven't been to a dentist lately but it's apparently pretty usual at the ear doctor's office (and probably *almost every* doctor's office in the new modern world these days) (and urgent care).
Methinks 'tis the new normal.
"Check your vitals" is apparently the new way of the world.
I don't like it either and my blood pressure reads high in those situations also but what can you do, it's what they do, we can't really stop them, you know?
And yes. I know it's annoying and potentially "kinda freaky".
I feel the same exact way but what can you do?
It's what it is.
Oh, well.
Sigh. 🙄
They seem to think that they need to, or something.
Thanks for this!

Weird. I've never had it done before and I've been to a few different dentists in the past 10 years. My mom doesnt get hers checked either. I was just at this office in January and they didn't take it.

Mine only take it when I go in for 6 month cleanings/exams. They took my blood pressure last time I went to get a cleaning and exam They usually don't if I'm just there getting fillings or other work done.

I've never had my blood pressure checked at any of the dentists' offices I've been to.
