I started prescrption Pepcid last Monday and this morning I woke up and my bottom lip is all numb and tingly and kinda swollen. I can eat and drink just fine. I am totally exhausted and lethargic too and I haven't been able to get out of bed.
I'm just wondering if I should be concerned or if I should do anything about it.

Swelling may be a sign of an allergic reaction, and having it occur anywhere along an airway is concerning.
Call the doctor's office even if it may be closed and follow the prompts to contact the on-call physician. They'll usually respond to medication issues. Do you live with someone who can drive you to a walk-in or the emergency room? |
