I seem to have narrowed down my issue to the soda I've been drinking. Even one can makes me violently ill. Of any type of soda. If I don't drink it, then I'm ok. Even chai and matcha is ok on my stomach

So can you have a soda allergy or something?

Sugar or caffeine or artificial sugar or whatever chemicals they add. You could be reacting to that.

You probably have checked at the hospital if you have an inflammation of the gastric mucosa? Have you tried Iberogast? No I‘m not recommending it because it’s irresponsible to recommend anything in a forum not being a doctor let alone just by reading a post with symptoms.

A colleague of mine suffered with weeks of nausea and throwing up, she was taking AD, a doctor thought this could be a side affect. After a strict diet things calmed down.

Get well soon!

You certainly can. If you are drinking a diet soda or one with an artificial sweetener, all it takes is an initial exposure. Your immune system marks it as a danger to the body, like a pathogenic organism. Henceforth, you will react to it, or your immune system will attack it like a foreign invader. If this is the case, many artificial sweeteners and such are used in other products, so it may be prudent to consult an allergist and precisely identify their offending agent. They will begin a process of desensitizing your body to it. I'm sorry you had this issue; that is a bummer. Drinking some cola or the like causes you problems. That would be an annoyance, and I practically live off the sugar in regular Coca-Cola now. Your body needs sugar to perform the citric acid cycle, so you must get the energy in some way.
