this might seem like a strange question but is anyone else here prone to pneumonia like me, to the point where you can't go out in winter, rain etc?

I have had it a few times in my life
well more than a few
Have you been checked for asthma?
My daughter gets it from that. She has to take good care of herself
I get it about once every 3 years....this would be the year
I am on my second antibotic . Am doing better now
There also is a shot for it. my daughter gets that every year.
I hope your ok

muffy, sorry to hear you get it that frequent pneumonia just hope you take care of yourself proper when you do.

for me though, I have it more or less permanently to one degree or another...which is one reason I'm only given antibiotics/steroids etc if it gets to the hospitalization stage...which I only agree to if I need oxygen coz I hate hospitals.

My T had a severe illness, not sure it was pneumonia, as a child and had to leave the area here every winter as if she got sick it could kill her. My mother died when I was a child so her explaining to me about her illness that could kill her if she caught a cold so she had to go to a warmer place every winter didn't put too much pressure on me pneumonia I've always been excessively healthy so it's hard for me to imagine.

I get sick almost every year.. but i havent since 2005! Which is freaking amazing. Its always either pneumonia or bad bronchitis. I used to have asthma, but it was never the kind where you got attacks more the kind where you wheeze alot when excersising and such.

I've had pneumonia more times in these last few years than I did for the previous 30! This span is due to aspiration though... hopefully that is behind now too. I also do suffer with bronchitis often.
