i know some out there may think this a stupid question....but me no claim to be clever....lol

why is it some foods...like potatoes and bread...give me horrendous gut-ache, yet other foods...like bananas and eggs...don't give me any gut-ache?

I don't know, but it would be worth going to see your doctor about it.

It could be a sensitivity to something, an intolerance, or something like irritable bowel syndrome (which can be brought on by stress.) Or it could be like a mild form of celiac disease which is an intolerance to gluten that is found in wheat.
